With the help of CGH, it is easy to perform interferometric testing of complex optical surfaces such as freeform, and off-axis aspheric surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four steps in the CGH null testing process: 1) CGH Phase Function, 2) Encoding\/Quantizing the CGH phase function, 3) CGH mask fabrication, and 4) Final Testing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CGH phase design capabilities have been incorporated into most commercial lens design\/ray-tracing programs. CGH mask fabrication can be easily realized with standard photolithography used in the semiconductor industry.
